Dr. Pradip serves as the Project Director, Surveillance & One Health at PCI India. His public health career spans over more than three decades. As a medical doctor, graduate in mass communication & postgraduate in English literature he brings a blend of public health, literature & communication together to make his engagement with diverse public health issues more creative & innovative. His public health journey started from a Primary Health centre to State Surveillance Officer (SSO) of Maharashtra. As a State Surveillance Officer, he handled two pandemics of 21st century – Influenza A H1N1 & Covid 19. He has also played a pivotal role in starting Influenza vaccination to high-risk population in Maharashtra. Disease Surveillance, One Health, Climate change & Human Health, Anti-Microbial Resistance are his areas of interest. He has worked as a public health professional in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat & Delhi with different capacities. His work reflects his enthusiasm to engage with different strata of communities. His interest in people shapes his public health perspective.
Prior to joining to PCI India, Dr. Pradip held key positions in Maharashtra Health services department & with leading organizations such as WHO & PATH.
