Qualification Required: Master’s degree in public health, Rural Development, Health Management, Development Studies, or related field.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in programme coordination, implementation, or technical assistance projects.
- Experience in documentation, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
The Role
PCI India is implementing the Sentinel Community Surveillance (SCS) for Global Health Security initiative in partnership with TIFA Bharat for Global Health Security across selected districts of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra. The project seeks to strengthen community-based surveillance systems through integration of community platforms, frontline workers, local governance institutions, and public health systems to improve early detection, reporting, verification, and response to outbreak-prone diseases and public health events.
Position Purpose
The Program Associate will provide programmatic, operational, coordination, documentation, and knowledge management support for implementation of the Sentinel Community Surveillance initiative across project states.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Coordination
- Support planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities.
- Maintain project workplans, trackers, implementation calendars, and deliverable monitoring systems.
- Coordinate with state and district teams to ensure timely completion of activities.
- Follow up on action points emerging from review meetings and technical consultations.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare meeting minutes, progress reports, presentations, briefs, and technical documentation.
- Support preparation of donor reports and project updates.
- Maintain project documentation repositories and knowledge management systems.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate meetings, consultations, trainings, workshops, and review platforms with government and project stakeholders.
- Support communication with State Health Departments, SRLMs, NSS units, and Urban Local Bodies.
Administrative and Operational Support
- Support logistics and administrative arrangements for project activities.
- Coordinate procurement and consultant engagement processes as required.
- Support travel planning and event management.
Knowledge Management
- Document lessons learned, case studies, implementation experiences, and success stories.
- Support dissemination of project outputs and technical resources.

Recruitment Process
- Applications will be shortlisted based on the criteria mentioned in the job description.
- The process may include a presentation of the assignment.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for one or more rounds of panel interviews.
The complete process usually takes 2–3 weeks. Candidates moving to the final round will hear from the People & Culture team. In‑person meetings are preferred, but virtual meetings are conducted where distance is a constraint.
