IT Officer

Position Title: IT Officer
No of Position: 1
Reporting Line: Assistant Manager Finance
Functional Supervisor: Senior Manager-Operations, Admin & IT
Location: Patna, Bihar
Duration : Till March 2024

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To provide support and installation of Network, Laptop, PC and Software system implementation, Investigate and debug software errors, troubleshoot application
2. Routine monthly checkup for each machine
3. Responsible for Video conferencing /telecom set up
4. To Monitor and maintain security of all technology
5. Regular back of data to be taken and ensure safety of all internal /external hard disks.
6. Routine maintenance of Server/Firewall
7. To ensure timely and accurate delivery of technology products and services
8. To help address any IT issues raised by any staff
9. To manage E- mail services, password, password reset

Backup
1. Institute and maintain rigorous and regular back up system for all computers in the office ensuring that all computers are always backed up.
2. Implement disaster recovery in alignment with PCI business needs, process, and procedures. Internet
3. Manage the relationship with the internet service provider and ensure high-quality internet connectivity.
4. Troubleshoot internet connectivity.

User Support
1. Ensure each laptop/desktop & all other IT hardware and systems are fully operational with latest systems security / anti-virus updates
2. Provide IT support to staff.
3. Provide IT related technical support, whenever required, for PCI conferences/ workshop/ trainings/ seminars etc.

Network
1. Provide complete Network software installation and maintenance support. This includes installing and configuring the internet base network according to standard configuration and maintaining/ administering the systems for all offices across India.
2. Maintain network equipment including all switches, wireless access points, firewalls.
3. Monitor and run network diagnostics to ensure that the network is running smoothly.
4. Maintain network devices including printers and All-in-One Copiers.
5. Configure and maintain servers.
6. Maintain and regularly test power backup systems.
7. Remote support to India branch offices.

IT Security
1. Setup, configure, monitor and manage systems required to implement and support the PCI’s security policies.
2. Monitor IT systems to maintain security and report incidents
3. Conduct IT user awareness security training to PCI India staff, per ISTS IT security program.

IT Equipment
1. Monitor and lead procurement of all technology equipment.
2. Keep up to date with trends and modernize enabling technology in all PCI India offices.

IT Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration
1. Maintain and communicate IT policies.
2. Oversee maintenance of records for IT assets, inventory, software license and support and maintenance contracts, as applicable.

Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or a related discipline along with post- graduate qualification in ICT Management (e.g. Masters, Project Management etc.) from recognized University/ Institute.
• 5-7 years of experience in similar field

Skills :

• Demonstrated ability to lead and to effectively communicate with staff at all levels including a proven ability to communicate with technical and non – technical staff across multiple disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully configure network devices in a global enterprise production
• Sound knowledge of: cabling and wiring standards, network technologies such as DHCP, DNS, and PPP, wireless technologies, network protocols & LAN/WAN topologies (includes Ethernet, Remote Access, TCP/IP and VPN Routing Protocols).
• Sound knowledge of all types of IT ecosystems, including windows, mac etc.
• Sound knowledge of cloud and enterprise on prem server systems and network of vendors.
• Demonstrated ability in determining priorities and implementing network improvements/solutions appropriate for the organization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to write and converse in English and Hindi.
• Service Oriented, organized, cooperative, trustworthy, flexible and dependable.
• Ability to take initiative to anticipate and resolve technical problems.
• Ability to multitask and work in a multi-cultural team.
• Ability to handle a variety of assignments under pressure of deadlines.
