Qualification Required: Postgraduate.
PCI is seeking a proactive livelihood professional for the position of Assistant State Program Manager – Food Enterprises to implement and manage entrepreneurship initiatives focused on women-led food enterprises at the state level. The role involves on-ground execution of food enterprise models such as cloud kitchens, bakeries, restaurants, home based food businesses, etc., coordination with government bodies, vendor management, and enterprise support services such as training, operations, and market linkages.
This position requires hands-on experience in implementing livelihood or microenterprise programs, preferably in food businesses, with strong coordination, mentoring, and problem-solving capabilities
Experience Required:
- Master’s degree in – Hotel Management, Business Administration, Social Entrepreneurship, Development Studies, or related fields.
- 3+ years’ experience in entrepreneurship and livelihood projects
- Experience in working with SHGs, youth collectives, or micro-entrepreneurs is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with food business sales and operations (cloud kitchens, restaurant chains, catering, or meal distribution) will be an advantage.
Skill and Competencies:
- Strong field execution and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Practical knowledge of enterprise operations, preferably in the food sector.
- Excellent interpersonal and team support skills.
- Comfort with MIS tools, mobile-based tracking, and basic data analysis.
- Proficiency with MS word and MS excel
- Ability to travel extensively within the city and state.
About the Role (Including Team and Reporting):
The Role
Project Implementation & Enterprise Support
- Lead day-to-day operations of community food enterprise initiatives at the state level.
- Coordinate market research, site identification, enterprise setup, procurement, licensing, registration, training and operational readiness of food enterprises.
- Support SHG women, youth vendors, and staff in onboarding, training, business planning, logistics and enterprise compliance.
- Facilitate business planning, SOP adherence, pricing, food & service quality, at the enterprises and all other operational requirements for the enterprises to function at full capacity.
- Capacity Building & Mentorship
- Organize and facilitate training sessions in enterprise development, food safety, operations, and business skills.
- Provide ongoing handholding and mentoring to entrepreneurs to resolve operational issues.
- Build systems for tracking capacity-building progress and enterprise performance.
- Market Development & Local Partnerships
- Assist in building local market linkages for catering, workplace meals, and institutional buyers.
- Coordinate with Swiggy, Zomato, and other platforms for digital presence and delivery tie-ups.
- Forge linkages with local vendors for packaging, raw materials, and logistics.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with local government departments (NULM, ULBs, DAY-NRLM) for convergence, permissions, and enterprise support.
- Work with local NGOs, consultants, and skill partners for enterprise training and technical support.
- Represent the program in local review meetings and events.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Maintain state-level enterprise MIS and dashboards to track enterprise performance (sales, orders, hygiene audits, customer feedback).
- Submit monthly project reports, field updates, and success stories.
- Track vendor-level and kitchen-level KPIs and resolve bottlenecks with support from the national team.

Recruitment Process:

- Group Discussions may be part of the interview process for certain positions.
- The process could also include presentation of the assignment.
