Tenure: 12 months (consultancy, with possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs)

Location: Base – Delhi, India (with frequent travel as required)

Position Summary:

The primary objective of this consultancy is to strengthen PCI India’s overarching gender strategy and visibility while driving the design of evidence-based, scalable gender interventions. The Advisor will also enhance PCI’s strategic positioning with donors, develop investment-aligned concepts, and contribute to shaping narratives that influence the broader ecosystem on gender equity and systems change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advisory to strengthen PCI India’s gender integration frameworks across domains.
  • Design scalable, evidence-driven gender interventions aligned to sectoral priorities.
  • Lead business generation efforts, including donor positioning, pitch development, and concept note/proposal writing.
  • Develop high-quality knowledge products, thought leadership pieces, and narratives to expand PCI India’s influence in the gender equity space.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, donors, partners, and ecosystem actors to co-create impactful solutions.
  • Support fundraising, strategic partnerships, and visibility-building through sectoral engagements, conferences, and public speaking.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Sociology, or a related field from a reputed institution.
  • A PhD in a relevant discipline will be considered an added advantage, particularly if it demonstrates expertise in gender equity, systems change, or intersectional development.
  • Additional certifications or executive programs in gender mainstreaming, social inclusion, or development leadership will be a strong asset.

Experience:

  • 12–15+ years in gender, social inclusion, or systems leadership roles
  • Proven experience in business development, fundraising, and development financing
  • Exposure to INGOs, CSRs, think tanks, philanthropic collaboratives, or public policy spaces

Skills:

  • Advanced gender analysis with systems thinking and an intersectional lens
  • Strategic writing and pitch development for investment and influence
  • Strong thought leadership, public speaking, and stakeholder engagement
  • Deep commitment to equity, innovation, and grounded community change

Key 

  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and site visits.
