About PCI India
PCI India, a registered Indian society, has been working in India for the past 28 years. We drive interventions to transform the lives of communities at scale by solving complex development problems. In the past year, PCI India reached more than 2 crore (20 million) people across 200+ districts in 23 states.
About the Project
Project Concern International (PCI) India, in partnership with Jhpiego, is implementing the RISE project to reduce community-level transmission risks associated with infectious and priority zoonotic diseases across selected districts in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh. The project adopts a community-centered and evidence-based approach to identify high-risk transmission settings and behavioral drivers at the human–animal–environment interface. It seeks to co-develop and implement practical, locally appropriate interventions that promote protective behaviors, strengthen community preparedness, and support disease prevention. PCI India intends to engage a Field Resource Person for three months to support the field-level implementation, monitoring, and documentation of selected interventions in high-risk community sites.
The primary objective is to provide field-level technical and operational support for implementing selected interventions, facilitating community participation, promoting the adoption of targeted protective behaviors and documenting implementation progress and learning.
