Ritu Kharayat is a seasoned development professional with over 14 years of experience advancing gender equality, women’s economic empowerment, programme strategy and multi-stakeholder partnerships across India. At PCI India, she provides strategic leadership to the organisation’s gender portfolio, shaping gender strategy, strengthening partnerships, and translating programme evidence and learning into organisational positioning and knowledge.

Ritu has worked extensively with government, donors and civil society to build partnerships and drive scalable, sustainable solutions. Her experience includes advancing women’s livelihoods and entrepreneurship, market access and public procurement, climate resilience, renewable energy and rural development. She holds an M.Phil. in Women’s Studies from Jadavpur University and a Bachelor’s degree from Miranda House, University of Delhi.
