Qualification Required: Postgraduate in Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Data Science, Biostatistics, Computer Applications, Information Systems, or related discipline
Experience Required:
- Postgraduate degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Data Science, Biostatistics, Computer Applications, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in MIS, M&E, health information systems, data analytics, or program performance management, including team supervision.

The Role
The Senior MIS & Data Analytics Officer will be responsible for leading state-level monitoring systems, surveillance databases, analytics, dashboards, reporting systems, and performance monitoring mechanisms supporting implementation of Sentinel Community Surveillance activities. The position will provide technical guidance and supportive supervision to MIS & Data Analytics Officers in Bihar and Jharkhand, while leading the analysis of overall programme data to generate actionable insights for evidence-based decision-making, programme improvement, and performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- MIS Management
- Develop, maintain, and manage project MIS systems and databases.
- Ensure data quality, completeness, timeliness, and consistency across districts.
- Support data validation, cleaning, and quality assurance processes.
- Data Analytics
- Analyze surveillance, programme, operational, and behavioural data.
- Track reporting timeliness, verification compliance, response timelines, and performance indicators.
- Identify trends, clusters, hotspots, and emerging risks.
- Analyze overall programme performance data across project states and generate actionable insights for management decision-making.
- Conduct comparative analysis of key performance indicators across districts and states.
- Support evidence generation through data analysis and performance reviews.
- Develop analytical briefs and presentations for senior management and donor reporting
- Technical Support and Supervision
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to MIS & Data Analytics Officers in Bihar and Jharkhand.
- Review state-level data quality, reporting completeness, and timeliness.
- Support capacity building of field and state teams on MIS systems, dashboards, reporting tools, and data analytics.
- Conduct regular review meetings and provide feedback to improve data management practices.
- Ensure standardization of data collection, validation, and reporting processes across states.
- Dashboard Development and Monitoring
- Develop and maintain state-level and district-level dashboards.
- Generate performance scorecards and visualizations.
- Support KPI monitoring and performance governance processes.
- Reporting and Evidence Generation
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual analytical reports.
- Support baseline, midline, and endline assessments.
- Contribute to implementation research, data-driven evaluations, and learning activities.
- Support donor reporting, knowledge management, and dissemination of programme insights.
- Review and Decision Support
- Support state and district review meetings through data presentations and analytical insights.
- Generate actionable recommendations for programme improvement.

Recruitment Process
- Applications will be shortlisted based on the criteria mentioned in the job description.
- The process may include a presentation of the assignment.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for one or more rounds of panel interviews.
The complete process usually takes 2–3 weeks. Candidates moving to the final round will hear from the People & Culture team. In‑person meetings are preferred, but virtual meetings are conducted where distance is a constraint.
