- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Public Health, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
- Experience required:

- 3-5 years of experience with social development projects. Preference for experience in monitoring / M&E roles in development or CSR projects.
- Prior experience with nutrition, health, education, gender, or adolescent programmes preferred.
- Hands-on experience with MIS, mobile data collection tools, dashboards, and Excel-based analysis.
- Experience working with government platforms (ICDS, Health, Education, RKSK, WIFS, etc.) is an advantage.

About the Project:
She Shines – Empowering the Girls: The project adopts a life-cycle approach targeting three age groups: 0–5 years (Early Childhood), 6–12 years (Growing Minds), and 13–18 years (Emerging Adulthood). This is a comprehensive intervention program across the catchment areas of 10 of its production units of HINDALCO, spread across six states—Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Odisha, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
The program is expected to directly benefit 50,000 girls across 534 villages over three years with the aim of transforming the status of girl children and contribute to significant improvements in their education access, nutrition and health outcomes, menstrual hygiene, digital safety, and adolescent empowerment. This project is supported by Hindalco under its CSR initiative, and the project geography is spread across its production units in seven states.
The Position
The Monitoring Officer will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality monitoring of project activities and results across villages and implementation platforms (AWCs, schools, SHGs, VHSNDs, etc). The role focuses on routine data collection, MIS management, data quality assurance, dashboard reporting, and field-level learning, in line with the project’s Theory of Change and monitoring framework.
S/he will work closely with the Project Manager and will also be responsible for quality implementation of the project in the field. For the assigned geography / region, will manage various components of the project such as capacity building of stakeholders, awareness and mobilisation, community and family engagements and sustainable interventions.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Program Implementation and Coordination
- Assist in developing detailed implementation plans, village wise intervention plan and coordination mechanisms aligned with the outcomes and project proposal.
- Lead district-level implementation, and monitoring of project activities, as per the assigned geography / region.
- Field Monitoring & Supportive Supervision
- Undertake regular field visits to observe implementation quality across platforms:
- Anganwadi Centres
- Schools
- SHGs/federations
- VHSNDs and community campaigns
- Use structured monitoring checklists to assess:
- Fidelity to toolkits and protocols
- Participation and inclusion
- Quality of facilitation and messaging
- Track output and process indicators across all four pathways (awareness, FLW capacity, family engagement, agency building).
- Provide real-time feedback to supervisors, village volunteers, and unit coordinators.
- Maintain unit-level databases with village-wise, age-disaggregated data (0–5, 6–12, 13–18 years).
- Capacity Building & Support
- Train project staff and frontline teams on monitoring tools, data entry protocols, and reporting formats.
- Provide troubleshooting and ongoing technical support for digital data collection systems.
- Data Quality Assurance and Reporting
- Conduct routine data quality checks, validation visits, and spot verifications across intervention sites.
- Generate monthly monitoring reports highlighting progress, gaps, and actionable insights at unit level.
- Ensure adherence to monitoring protocols, formats, and indicator definitions.
- Support development and updating of dashboards for internal review and donor reporting.
- Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual reports for Hindalco CSR and PCI leadership.
- Learning & Documentation
- Capture qualitative insights, field observations, and stories of change, especially related to:
- Girls’ agency and aspirations
- Family engagement and social norm change
- Service uptake and convergence with government schemes
- Contribute to learning notes, best practice documentation, and dissemination materials.

Recruitment Process
