About the Position:

  • Reporting to: Senior Manager – Program Analytics
  • Pay Range: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
  • Duration: Till December 2026
  • Qualification required: Graduate degree/diploma in business management, sales, marketing, entrepreneurship development, social sciences or any other field
  • Experience required:
    • At least 5 years of experience in projects (e.g. livelihood, energy – DRE/Solar, climate resilience) implementation, rural marketing, business development etc.
    • Experience of working with women entrepreneurs/SHG women/FPOs from rural geographies
    • Experience of working on solar installation projects/B2C (in rural areas) will be a plus
  • Skill and Competencies:
    • Strong sense of professional commitment and maturity.
    • Attention to details and ability to multi-task.
    • Ability to work independently and handling a team
    • Excellent oral and written Odia, Hindi and English skills
    • Knowledge of other local dialects is a plus

Note: It will be mandatory for the hired consultant to have a valid driving license for two-wheelers along with a proper motorcycle/scooter (registered in their name) for performing her/his official duties. PCI India will provide monthly reimbursement for fuel and vehicle maintenance as per the respective project norms to consultant hired for the field work.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach to women entrepreneurs, SHGs, CLFs to assess interest in solar solutions
  • Facilitate demand aggregation for solar PV installations.
  • Support vendor identification and assist in project proposals for solar installations.
  • Provide on-ground technical assistance and training to SHG members, entrepreneurs.
  • Monitor the technical performance of solar installations and gather feedback.
  • Prepare reports on outreach activities, project progress, and stakeholder engagement required at the district level and below.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including government depts, vendors, and local authorities for schemes leverage, partnerships or other activities.
  • Regular reporting to the supervisor on day-to-day progress of field activities and reporting in digital MIS.
  • Coordinate field visits, workshops etc. for all relevant stakeholders and manage the program participants.
  • Any other work assigned by the reporting manager for the project delivery.

PCI India is committed to tackling climate change by empowering vulnerable and marginalized communities with climate-resilient livelihood and health solutions. Its approach focuses on integrated, community-driven models that strengthen adaptation, support mitigation, and promote low-emission development. PCI offers strong competencies in community mobilization, demand generation, feasibility assessments, technical support, and capacity building to advance Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) solutions aligned with the state’s clean energy goals.

Across states, PCI India has led several notable initiatives. In Uttar Pradesh, the DEWEE project is enabling 10,000 women-led enterprises to adopt solar energy and trained 58,000 women solar technicians under GREEN Shakti. The Surya Nutan initiative is deploying solar cookstoves in rural households in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, improving energy access and women’s health. In Haryana, the CORE project promotes climate-resilient agriculture for women farmers, while in Karnataka, the RECYCLE program supports women-led e-waste enterprises. The SAVE initiative launching in Bihar aims to decarbonize the rice value chain, and the STREE electric mobility project strengthens rural women’s livelihoods.

In Odisha, PCI is on the path to facilitate clean energy transitions for women entrepreneurs across different districts. With deep community engagement, strong government partnerships, and robust assessment capabilities, PCI India is well-equipped to support Odisha’s DRE expansion.

Recruitment Process:

  1. Applications will be shortlisted based on the specified criteria mentioned in the Job Description.
  2. Shortlisted candidates will appear for a written assignment (if required).
  3. The process could also include presentation of the assignment.
  4. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend one or more rounds of panel interview/s.
