About the Position
- Job Title: Associate – Research, Communications, and Data Insights
- Number of positions: 01
- Location: Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
- Salary Range: Competitive salary commensurate with experience
- Type- Project Based
- Experience required: 3–5 years of experience in the social/development sector with a focus on research, communications, or data analysis.
- Qualification required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality research reports, briefs, and presentations.
- Strong writing and editing skills with a flair for storytelling and narrative development.
- Proficiency in data tools (Excel, Power BI/Tableau, SPSS/Stata/R) and presentation software (PowerPoint, Canva).
- Experience managing social media accounts and creating content strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Skill and Competencies:
- Prior experience working with NGOs, think tanks, or government programs.
- Knowledge of Hindi or other regional languages.
- Familiarity with data collection tools like KoboToolbox, ODK, or SurveyCTO.

About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Analysis
- Conduct literature reviews, field research, and stakeholder interviews to support program design, implementation and reporting.
- Develop policy briefs, research reports, and case studies based on program learnings.
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to extract actionable insights.
- Support development of dashboards and data visualization tools for internal and external use.
- Communications & Narrative Building
- Translate complex data and programmatic insights into accessible, engaging narratives.
- Draft blogs, impact stories, op-eds, and compelling thought leadership products.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure consistency and clarity in messaging across channels.
- Social Media & Digital Engagement
- Manage PCI India’s social media channels with timely, engaging, and relevant content.
- Design and execute content calendars in line with organizational themes and campaigns.
- Track analytics to optimize outreach and visibility.
- Presentation & Dissemination
- Create high quality PowerPoint presentations for internal and external dissemination.
- Support the organization of webinars, workshops, and dissemination events.
- Assist with the documentation of learnings, events, and success stories.
About the Project:
PCI is seeking a detail-oriented Associate to support our research, communications, and data functions for multiple vulnerability, poverty, livelihoods and gender focused projects in Lucknow. The Associate will play a critical role in developing high-quality research products, building compelling narratives, managing media content including story telling for social media, and generating insights from qualitative and quantitative data. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of analytical thinking, creative communication, and strong research acumen to inform policy, amplify impact, and engage stakeholders whilst being deeply driven and agile towards understanding and representing grassroots voices.

Recruitment Process
- Applications will be shortlisted based on the specified criteria mentioned in the Job Description.
- Shortlisted candidates will appear for a written assignment (if required).
- Group Discussions may be part of the interview process for certain positions.
- The process could also include presentation of the assignment.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend one or more rounds of panel interview/s.
The complete process usually takes 2 to 3 weeks. If your application is not shortlisted, you will receive a mail from the People & Culture team. Those moving to the final round of interviews will be hearing from the People & Culture team. We prefer in person meetings but in case of location distances, we are happy to meet you virtually.
